Raymond Cotta, the owner and original craftsman-artist at Stonewood Elite Creations, grew up loving fine woods and polished stones.

His love for these two natural materials goes back to his two grandfathers. One was a finish carpenter of high skill and moral value, a man who built fine homes and fought for our country. The other was an honest and hard working farmer, mason, and your basic Jack-of-all-trades, who taught Ray the art of stone masonry.

After years and years of dabbling with wood and stone, these two interests came together in using tables and home decor items as his artistic medium. It also made economic sense to build a utility product that everyone uses so that his art could be shared in a functional way.

So it became a win-win situation. Art could be shown in the construction of the tables and home decor products; they had purpose, and since the products were constructed to last, longevity would retain his art into the future.
